Labor and Employment

If you are an employer, we stay on top of emerging issues and trends in labor and employment so you don’t have to.  We train you and your employees so that you feel confident that you comply with the law.  We represent clients in all of the areas in which they may have issues, including the enforcement of non-compete and confidentiality agreements, wage and hour litigation, claims of harrassment or discrimination or unlawful retaliation, pay disputes, even unemployment compensation. We draft, review, analyze and update employment contracts, handbooks, and policies.

If you are an employee, we understand that challenging an unfair or illegal employment act can be daunting.  We can help you.  We can negotiate a severance agreement with your employer, analyze whether you have a claim and, if so, help you bring a claim for discrimination against your current or former employer, file and prosecute claims for illegal discrimination or harassment or retaliation, help you figure out whether you have had wages withheld illegally, advise you on whether your employer has complied with the FMLA or with wage and hour laws.  We work with employees on both an hourly and a contingency basis.

Our clients count on our advice in every area of employment law, including:
