Mackenzie Maki Baxter is an associate with Hite, Fanning & Honeyman L.L.P. She is admitted in Kansas and concentrates her practice on:

Mackenzie focuses on efficiently and effectively advancing her client's interests. She ensures she fully understands a client’s concerns and issues, while fervently advocating for them in state and federal courts.
Mackenzie grew up in and loves the Wichita area. She received her B.S., cum laude, in Biology, with a Minor in Chemistry, from Wichita State University, and her J.D., with honors, from Washburn University School of Law. In college, Mackenzie competed in Division I cross-country and long-distance track, and worked in a reproductive hormone lab. In law school, Mackenzie was a member of the mock trial team that participated in the National American Association of Justice’s Trial Advocacy Competition. She also gained valued trial experience at the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office. During her two semesters as an intern, she sought resolutions for misdemeanor traffic and domestic issues through plea negotiations, bench trials, and jury trials. Additionally, she spent a semester working for the Kansas Bureau of Investigation’s Legal Department and a summer clerking at Hite, Fanning & Honeyman L.L.P.
Mackenzie is a member of the American Bar Association, Kansas Bar Association, and Wichita Bar Association. She is also a member of the Wichita and Kansas Women Attorney’s Associations.
