Stephen Netherton Named to Wichita Business Journal’s 40 Under 40

The Wichita Business Journal has named Hite, Fanning & Honeyman partner Stephen H. Netherton to its prestigious 40 Under 40 list, recognizing him as one of the city’s brightest young business leaders. This annual award honors 40 rising stars under the age of 40 who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to their companies, industries, and communities.

“I’m biased when it comes to my affection for Wichita, which is not just my hometown but also my wife’s,” Netherton said. “So, this recognition is appreciated simply because we both feel strongly about investing in a city for which we care so much.”

In his practice, Stephen has continued to build on the firm’s reputation of assisting healthcare providers, businesses, and individuals with successfully navigating the intersection of their profession and the law.  Whether this means advocating for clients in the courtroom, or helping clients avoid the courtroom, Stephen has distinguished himself as a sought-after attorney in Wichita.

From his time in law school and his career thus far, Netherton has proven that he will continue the firm’s tradition of strong trial advocacy. In law school, he delivered the closing argument in the final round of the National Mock Trial Championship, taking home not just the team trophy, but also being named the best advocate. He has continued to demonstrate those advocacy skills in his practice, having taken numerous cases to trial in both state and federal court.
